What Is the Best Neighborhood to Live in in Boston?

Question by Jessica: What is the best neighborhood to live in in Boston?
What is the best neighborhood to live in in Boston? I’m 15, I live up in NH, and am way more independent then I should be. (I am not having sex, using drugs or drinking.) Obviously, I’m not old enough to get my own apartment in Boston yet (or anywhere,) but I like to plan ahead, even if these plans aren’t definite.

I want to know which neighborhood would be safest for an 18 yr-old girl, would have a good atmosphere, be CLEAN, and not extremely expensive. (i.e. shops, rent, food.)

Think you could help me out here?

Basically, there is no safe area in Boston. It’s better to have people walk with you at late night in Boston. Revere and Dorchester are the worst. Cambridge, brookline are consider bit better.
Nice safe area close to Boston are Newton, Arlington, Belmont and Lexington.
