Are You for or Against GUN CONTROL in America?
Question by dogtear5: Are you for or against GUN CONTROL in America?
Besides the people who do not trust our own government,…
So what’s the solution?
There is a data base for everything nowadays, but the government does not keep the loonies in our country on the path, there is no “red flag”, no notice, no pro-activity, no nothing. You can be crazy as hell, be a danger to yourself and others around you, you can own and buy as many firearms you want without any question or intervention. The government ignores the mentally ill until a mentally ill person actually does something absurd, the government does nothing to stop or prevent the mentally ill from buying or owning guns which is key.
When buying a gun, the instant check does not confirm your mental status, they don’t check for if you had any treatment or care that you are or were undergoing, any mental disorder diagnosis and they don’t check to see if you are taking any medications. Also another factor is all the dispensing of mood altering , anti-depression, anti- anxiety, anti-psychotic prescription drugs that so many previous active shooters were taking when they committed their crimes, i.e. prozac, zoloft, effexor, celexa, paxil, etc. Did these drugs induce a psychosis?
If you go to purchase a firearm, you complete the questionnaire form which asks you a series of yes or no questions. One question is, have you or are you currently been served with a restraining order or PFA Protection From Abuse order? If so, you can’t not legally possess or buy a firearm. In fact, when you are served with this paperwork, the local sheriff’s office will take and store your guns and give you a receipt, or you are to voluntarily give your guns to somebody you know to hold until this matter is cleared up.
The government did nothing to curb the problem of handgun violence in major cities such as Chicago which is considered the murder capital of the country. In addition, the government did nothing to protect the people leading up to 9/11, they knew damm sure way in advance that these terrorists were already here living amongst us in our own country for years. The government funded them through college, gave them visas, and the government had intelligence for years about what they were planning to do.
The “real” problem is violent crime and how it directly associates with guns and drugs.
The government did not stop the gangs in our country, it became much worse, now there current are 28,000 different gangs in America totaling 1.5 million members throughout the country.
The government has failed to protect our borders leaving them open so that gangs like MS-13 can just come into our country and set up shop selling their drugs and killing anybody that stood in their way. The illegal immigrants living in our country exceed 13 million. The people recognize the revolving border door and that our country is vulnerable and security is inadequate, and we wouldn’t want another country to just walk right in and try to take over. The people understand that the government has proven to all of us that they can’t protect their own people, so people have to protect themselves, their families and their property, as well as their own country and its citizens.
