Question by AnonymousGuy: When people have drug or alcohol addiction do they need the alcohol or drug as much as they need food?
I watched a Dr. Phil episode and came away realizing how hard alcoholism and drug addiction are and bothered that society frowns upon people with addiction. I know we have to motivate them to seek help, but otherwise if for example an alcoholic craves for alcohol as much as we would for water then its not their fault when they get drunk. Same with drug addiction though certainly alcoholism is easier to fall into since its legal.
