Opinions on My Story Idea?
Question by lola!: Opinions on my story idea?
Okay, so basically I’ve had this idea in my head for a while but I don’t know if its good or if it needs improvement.
Clara & Billy Davis, to some have the easy life. They were brought up into a family of sucessfull and rich lawyers in a wealthy neighbour hood in Boston. Billy is a high flying and respected detective for Boston Police and Clara is writer, with permant writers block. Back before they were born, their parents gave birth to a boy but they gave him up for adoption because they were too young.
Mathew Grey has been searching his whole life to find the parents who threw him into a home to make them see what they did to him, a poor childhood filled with abuse and an adulthood filled with crime. Its a world away from what his true family are used too. Mathew finds out where his real parents live (after threatening the law so to speak..) and finds them. Only he doesn’t see his parents, he see’s Clara and he suddenly grows protective over her even though she has no idea who he is.
We then find out thanks to Mathew’s adopted father that he is part of an Irish Mafia led by the ruthless mobster Carlos Di-Branco and his equally as violent gang. Mathew is friends with Carlos son, James ‘Jimmy’ Di-Branco.
After becoming friends with Clara, Mathew asks Clara out for dinner, only to wind up in Di-Branco’s drug den. Along the story, Clara is put in danger as she knows about the gang (and her brother being the top dective puts more pressure on) and falls in love with Jimmy Di-Branco, the one man she shouldn’t ever fall in love with. Mathew will do anything to protect his sister.
It will show three 3rd person accounts, Clara’s, Mathew’s and Billy’s (on the bust and cracking down on the mob.)
Oh, I can change it to an Italian mob then! I didn’t notice that!
