Conservatives: How Can You Be Against an Authoritarian Government and for the War on Drugs?

Question by josh: Conservatives: How can you be against an authoritarian government and for the War on Drugs?
The Burns act signed by Reagan which allows local police to acquire military weaponry such as fully automatic assault rifles, grenades and even tanks for the purpose of drug enforcement.

Stop & Frisk made Famous by Mayor Bloomburg in NYC but has been enacted in nearly every inner city in the country. Clear violation of your constitutional right to be protected against unlawful search and seizure

The Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Act..Signed by Reagan allowing law enforcement to seize property “suspected” to be used in the sale of drugs. Yet the burden of proof is on the property owner, not the government, to prove that his property was not used for drug sales

Mandatory minimum sentencing….for simple possession giving years, even decades to those non-violent offenders found with drugs on them. Clear example of cruel & unusual punishment

I could go on…….
My goal wasn’t to attack you. Just trying to get you t open your eyes. Ending the War on Drugs should be a Conservative cause by definition. And these policies could very easily be used against you one day, not just African Americans as it is today
