Question by karin m: Has anyone heard of any long term substance abuse rehabs in massachusetts?
anything that may be as long as 6 mos or longer. Does anyone know of any drug related boot camps? I am trying to save my sons life,tried everything,but insurance companies do not want to pay for anything longer than 4 to 7 days. I am desperate!!!!!

Check with your M.D., he may be able to get your son diagnosed, as having a mental problem, caused by substance abuse. That should open the door to long term treatment.
Drug/Alcohol addiction is rooted in, and the cause of mental illness.
As always however if you can find no help from governmentt agencies, take you son to NA/AA meetings. It still is the best treatment, and their is no time limit placed on the recovery process.
