Question by Family Crisis: How can I involuntarily commit someone into a mental health institute in the state of oregon if on drugs?
my mother is either a schizophreniac or on meth… I fear with her longterm prescription drug abuse along with other drugs, she may be losing her mind, she is bi-polar and very unstable… I just want her to be somewhere safe… help me please.

You should call your state or county dept of human services or what ever dept handles senior issues they will be able to direct you to the right people . also i think only a judge can make an involuntary commitment
