Question by carissa r: I have to find drug rehabilitation centers in Benicia, California. Help?
I’m interested in knowing how drug rehabs are being managed and how they hire workers as well as accept or reject patients. I want to know the principles that they abide by, as well as the treatment programs that they offer. I would like to interview someone who manages a drug rehab so that I may be able to compare how one drug rehab is different from another.

I am especially interested in those that are used to counter heroin addiction. I do know about methadone, but aside from that, what other drugs are used?

The other kinds of medications used for the treatment of heroin addiction are: naltrexone, naloxone (used in cases of overdose), and buprenorphine, among others. Buprenorphine is fairly new, but it seems to be an appealing alternative to methadone since the effect of just a single injection can last for up to 6 weeks. Keep in mind, though, that medications alone won’t be enough treatment for heroin addicts. They also need therapy, counseling, and even rehabilitation.    Read more...

I know of rehabs where a person can go to detox from drugs and alcohol abuse/adddiction. Where can I go to get help with my onlne porn addiction? It’s ruining me! I should study for a college exam and hold down a job but I quit my job to look at porn (my mom pays my way and lets me live in her attic) and now I want to go to porn sites and look at barely legal girls instead of doing anything else.
