Is Constant Sniffing for About Half an Hour After Coming Back From the Bathroom a Sign of Drug Abuse?

Question by xrxr549: Is constant sniffing for about half an hour after coming back from the bathroom a sign of drug abuse?
My friend at work goes to the bathroom and when he comes back he sniffs oddly for about half an hour. It’s not like a runny nose kind of sniff but just short little puffs every couple of seconds. It only happens when he goes to the bathroom and my other co-workers have noticed it too. When we ask him if he needs a tissue or something for his sniffles he acts like he doesn’t know what we are talking about. Do you think he might be doing drugs? If so what drug would cause that behavior?

Why Would a Teenagers Drug Test Have Positive Results for Creatine?

Question by babygurl: Why would a teenagers drug test have positive results for creatine?
a friend suspected drug abuse with his teenage son (age 15), when tested yesterday (after almost fainting at school with chest pains and other symtoms), the doctor told my friend the only positive result was for creatine. the teenager is not a body builder nor would he have any reason to take creatine, nor does his father know how he got a hold of it. i suspect that this teenager is abusing a legal drug and is using the creatine to enhance it’s effects. any ideas? am i on the right track?

Why Do So Many People Have a Negative Attitude Towards Prescription Medication?

Question by Daniel: Why do so many people have a negative attitude towards prescription medication?
Those of you who like to follow the news and read comments on news articles are probably aware that many people frown upon the use of prescription drugs. A lot of Americans claim that people are too medicated and that taking meds is bad. Why do so many people feel this way? I understand that some people respond to medication negatively – I know that some people develop drug addiction problems and what-not. But others were able to get rid of their health problems (or at least the accompanying symptoms) by using medication. Take Brooke Shields for example – Tom Cruise criticized her use of Paxil for her clinical depression, but Shields explained to the public that it was the Paxil that helped her most. So why do people feel this way about prescription drugs? I don’t think it’s fair to say that drugs are NEVER the answer. Any thoughts? Thanks a lot in advance for your answers!

How Do I Find Out if My Doctor Is Writing Prescriptions Under My Name Illegally?

Question by eltelford: How do I find out if my doctor is writing prescriptions under my name illegally?
I suspect that an old physician of mine is writing drugs for himself under our family name. The delivery man for the pharmacist in that town told a friend of mine that he delivered something under my name to the doctor’s office. I haven’t used this physician in over three years. I have asked the pharmacy (which is the only pharmacy in that town) for information about anything filled under our names. I’m supposed to receive a list through the mail next week. I don’t know if they are going to be honest with me. The pharmacist and the physician are old buddies. Is there a third organization I could contact to get accurate information about how our names have been used by this doctor? He’s well known to have a prescription drug abuse problem in the past. That’s small towns for you….

What Do I Do About This Drug Situation With Children?

Question by G: What do I do about this drug situation with children?
Someone who is related to me has moved near me recently after her husband died, she is known for child/drug abuse by nearly everyone yet no one has really done much. She went to prison once before and not one person wants to do it again, anyways.
