ok so ive been self mutilating since i was 12. its pretty bad. im 16 now and have attempted suicide twice and have frequent urges and thoughts of it. my self harm includes cutting, burning, bruising, and on occation not eating. ( no eating disorder though). anyways i just told my mom that im ready to get help so im seeing a counsler tomorrow but im really interested in having some short term inpatient treatment i guess almost like rehad at a treatment center. do places that help people with drug addictions also treat those with self harm addictions? so if you have any names of facilities with a program like this that could help me itd be greatly appreciated. i live in illinois btw so the closer the better. thank you so much! The only funding I ever had for a rehab was only because I graduated to the State of California…I was at CRC as an N# and a 6 month residential treatment program was mandatory. I had state funding for the 6 months and then I got a month’s funding for sober-living after that.
Any local residential programs I’ve been to, I had to pay monthly once they allowed me to get a job and I couldn’t get my certificate of completion until I had a zero balance. Also, if it’s court-ordered, it may be different depending on the laws where you live. I’m in San Diego… Read more...

I have a cousin who has been on the run since 2006 and ever since went to a drug treatment program which she has graduated from and now has 2 children. She works 2 part time jobs & has been working since 2008 till present. How shall she turn herself in? She has no one to care for her children & her boyfriend needs to work to pay the bills. Should she get a lawyer?

I want to help people and work for myself the two things that I would like to do even if I wasn’t getting paid to do. I can’t find any information. Everything I get is for a person going to a rehab and I want to know how to established one.

Here’s the thing, my parents adopted my little brother about 8yrs ago, he was placed with us as a kid because my mom was a foster parent. He is now 17 1/2 yrs old. He was aloud by the courts to see his biological mom while growing up (when she wasn’t in jail or rehab) but at one point the courts got tired of his mother going in & out of jail & rehab so they permanently took her parental rights. So the court was going to put him in a group home but he was so much a part of our family that my parents decided to adopt him. Read more...
