I have a VERY close family member who is a drug addict. I myself DO NOT enable him in ANY way! Not 5 dollars, not a ride here or anything at all. But I DO have several family members who DO enable him!!! It is so frustrating that they are still enabling his addiction. My question is What all options do we have for treatment for him. He has been to 3 rehabs. I wondered if it could be treated medically???

I’m doing a research project for a college class about treatment vs. Punishment (jail time) and have read many statistics but would like to know directly from people who have been convicted of drug abuse: did you undergo treatment or just go to jail? Did either benefit you, and how? In your opinion, does treatment / punishment work better?

He is on welfare and we don’t speak because he abuses his two sons vigorously, he doesn’t pay taxes and his wife had her father killed for life insurance this is a real and legit question I need some advice on what to do I don’t think it is fair that he can do these types of things and live freely without repercussion. He had a felony record in Massachusetts and fled and now is doing the same thing in Virginia. My mother is sick and he wants to get a life insurance policy on her. I live upstate and honestly he scares me, I don’t want to get too close to him and then he finds out it was me that reported him I rather live up here.What do I do now?

This is for my cousin. She’s living in a rooming house in Quincy, MA and recently came home from work to find the housing manager in her room. He was sealing her window for the winter and said he had expected her to be out longer. Like she wouldn’t have noticed big pieces of plastic on her window when she got home.
