In Which States Would I Qualify for Medicinal Marijuana? ?
Question by risks_(with a pessimist): In which states would I qualify for medicinal marijuana? ?
I live in Michigan and while at my latest appointment with my psychiatrist who helps me with me sever anxiety, we were discussing proposal one passing in Michigan to allow for some medicinal marijuana to be used. He mentioned that if the law covered more types of patients to be covered, I would be a perfect candidate because I should be on Kolonopin, but I have an adverse reaction to it (I can not even speak or stand up while on it I get so tired and dizzy) so I am on xanex instead, which is not really the right thing for me at all, and it makes me throw up. But, in michigan only those with chronic illnesses, chronic pain, or seizures get it. In which of the 13 states who have legalized medicinal marijuana would someone with extreme anxiety qualify? I know that california covers that, but where else?
Chronic Pain and Drug Addiction…please Help.?
Question by Scooter: Chronic pain and drug addiction…please help.?
I have a friend whose son takes medication for a legitimate chronic pain. He is also, unfortunately addicited to several illicit drugs, and was already a heavy drinker when he was injured. Does anyone know of a treatment facility geared to handle drug addicition and pain management. Everything here has failed. The family doctor is concerned for his life.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
The pain medication is prescribed by a doctor and is absolutely neccessary. He is under the care of competant pain management. The problem is most treatment facilities are only set up to get the drugs out of you. They aren’t set up to try and determine which ones need to really stay in you. we need advanced drug and alchohol treatment combined with pain management.
How Much $(Avg) Does a Month Cost for Inpatient Treatment for Alcohol/drug Dependency Programs?
Question by duppypog: How much $ (avg) does a month cost for inpatient treatment for alcohol/drug dependency programs?
I have finally made the long overdue decision to seek help for my addiction. Thus far, I’ve officially inquired about only 1 facility, after checking my insurance, they said it didn’t cover much and pretty much said good luck. I know that my insurance covers up to 7,800 for IP chemical dependency, is that not a lot to work with? I don’t need super fancy, but would like to find one w/ a good reputation that is also somewhat aesthetically pleasing. Are there any organizations that are able to point me in the right direction of prospective treatment centers that best suite my needs, financially and mentally. Due to the severity, AA meetings and/or OP treatment would not be enough initally. I need a complete change of environment and lifestyle. Also, I know that I’ve got other psychological issues to deal with and just quitting won’t be enough, but am aware that it is forefront. Do they even have concurrent programs of that nature? Help, I need a treatment center match-maker!
Thanks everyone. I like the idea of going out of the country but that may be a bit unrealistic for myself. I can’t afford that and I doubt that’s part of the out of network provision. My insurance is through an airline so ya never, but I doubt it.
I will have to google Narconon b/c I have no idea what that is. I’m going to check out the intervention sight and ironically that’s what made me think of a treatment matchmaker. I really thought that admitting this shameful, embarrassing defect would be the toughest part, but I was wrong. I just cannot bare the thought of asking my recently retired parents to spend such a significant amount of money for something that is not even guaranteed. Also, they say those closest usually know and I believe they do to a certain degree but I’ve gone to extraordinary length to hide this. My parents would be so embarrassed and ashamed of me, so I would rather not get them involved.
What if a Person Only Has a Low Income? How Can He Find a Good Addiction Treatment Program?
Question by amber ns: What if a person only has a low income? How can he find a good addiction treatment program?
I know that programs like these are really costly. What about those people who really want to change but just can’t stop because of withdrawal symptoms and can’t afford to have themselves rehabilitated at treatment centers? Is there a solution to this problem?

What Treatment Center?
Question by jadehope: What treatment center?
hi I’m a 19 year old female who has been secretly suffering from anorexia and bulimia for about 4 years. I have decided it’s time to tell my parents and receive treatment but I don’t know which treatment center is right for me. I know a lot of treatment centers also deal with other mental illnesses like bipolar disorder among others and also addiction to drugs and alcohol. however I do not abuse or even use drugs or alcohol and the only mental illness I have is anorexia and bulimia. I want to make sure im picking the right treatment center for me. does anyone have any suggestions? by the way I live in new York so anything in that area would be more convient, but I’m not opposed to going out of state. and I’m also looking for an inpatient program.
Can Anyone Give Me Info on the Band to Write Love on Her Arms?
Question by nikki_3919: Can anyone give me info on the band To Write Love on Her Arms?
I’ve recently heard of this band and looked into their myspace, but only briefly. I wanna know what type of music they play, (are they a Christian band? I know they are Christians…) what are their songs about and where would I be able to sample some of their music online (legally)?
Whoops! My bad. I was under the impression it was a band. Sorry! 😛 Thanks anyway!
