What is Schizencephaly?
Schizencephaly is an extremely rare developmental birth defect characterized by abnormal slits, or clefts, in the cerebral hemispheres of the brain. Babies with clefts in both hemispheres (called bilateral clefts) commonly have developmental delays, delays in speech and language skills, and problems with brain-spinal cord communication. Individuals with clefts in only one hemisphere (called unilateral clefts) are often paralyzed on one side of the body, but may have average to near-average intelligence. Individuals with schizencephaly may also have an abnormally small head, mental retardation, partial or complete paralysis, or poor muscle tone. Most will experience seizures. Some individuals may have an excessive accumulation of fluid in the brain called hydrocephalus.
Question About Detoxing My Body?
Question by miles s: question about detoxing my body?
So i have been doing my research and learned that alot of problems i have been having is from a bad digestive system so im trying to detox but its hard to find information about what i can and can’t eat. Can i eat dairy while i detox? like eggs and cheese or would that mess up the detox? also am i only able to eat fruits and salads or can i have like a light sandwhich on like wheat bread or something? I’m asking because im already skinny and i don’t wanna lose weight and im scared to go to the gym while detoxing because i read that it could make you really tired especially if its your first time. also any tips on how to maintain my digestive system once its cleaned out because i dont want to go full on vegan but im going to start adding salads and fruit to what i eat as well as cut out junk.
Had Experience With Rehab Aftercare, Like a Halfway House?
Question by Mardi: Had experience with rehab aftercare, like a halfway house?
My boyfriend of a couple years is currently at Second Nature Wilderness Therapy. He has been there for almost 10 weeks & wont be done until another couple weeks. He got caught stealing and tested positive on drug screen. He also failed out of school during this time & has a problem with lying. The Judge recommended some type of rehab and he voluntarily went. Anyways, I thought this was all about to be over, but he is now being sent to a halfway house (not sure which yet) directly after. I understand the reasoning for it, but Im just upset by it all.
I have been trying to research, but Im finding the same things. does anyone have experience with one or know someone? Any clue what time frame he will be there for? Will we even be able to communicate/visit with me? But more importantly, did it work?
Thanks so much

Need Help ASAP With Sex Addiction?
Question by GrainShard: Need help ASAP with sex addiction?
I’m a 49 year old grade school teacher, married with four kids (one out of college, one in college and two in high school) and lately I have been having sex with prostitutes. It started out a bit more innocently: 4 months ago I was on vacation in Nevada, and me and my friends went to a brothel (my wife would severely disapprove, but I figured ‘hey, it’s just one night’). Since then, I’ve been having sex with hookers more and more frequently, up until now, where I have been doing it once again. It’s illegal where I live, and my wife is starting to wonder where our money is going. I need to stop, but every time I try, I just end up going back to the hookers. I need help, please.
Is Narconon an Effective/safe/trust Worthy Rehabilitation Process?
Question by Erin: Is Narconon an effective/safe/trust worthy rehabilitation process?
Recently my parents sent my brother to a Narconon rehabilitation center in Michigan and now that he’s been there for a few days we found out it was connected to Scientology. We’ve discovered it has had a lot of controversy (like being a fraud for getting members) and he’s had some complaints of odd treatment like staring into someone’s eyes for thirty minutes. Before we sent him there they even said they weren’t Scientologists.
