“GOOD CAUSE” for QUITTING in GEORGIA?
Question by Uggh: “GOOD CAUSE” FOR QUITTING IN GEORGIA?
I have had bursitis since I was 22 after I had my first child. It was so bad that I could not walk. I thought my legs were broken, so I had began to crawl everywhere. Eventually my mother took me to the hospital (no one believed me for weeks and I could not drive). When I received the diagnosis from the doctor he said I had bursitis (after an x-ray and questioning) and told me I would have to have steroid injections. I refused and I went home and suffered it out. I took tylenol and OTC drugs to get by, and ended up having to resign from my job not being able to get out of the bed. I was unable to claim UI even though I worked there for 2 years and had no issues with management. I am now 3 years later in the same predicament. I for whatever reason as a younger woman believed bursitis was something you can have and would just go away and never come back like chicken pox, but I was wrong. It came back and even worse. I have another job like the one before, heavy lifting, twisting, pulling, etc. and I can fill it every day. I take about 16 tylenols a day and it is starting to have no affect. My job has slacked on providing me (and some other employees) with our enrollment paperwork in a timely manner so I have suffered with it about 2 months longer than necessary. I am 6 months from recieving my nursing degree. However I was wondering if I quit will I have good cause to recieve UI. I am in really bad pain.I have attempted to sit down at work to lessen the pain and pressure but with the way my job is designed (must be always moving and on my feet) it is no possible. I’m not one of those people who hates working, I’ve always had a job since I was 17 and I believe in working and earning my keep. Manual labor is just not something I can do anymore.
I refused the steroids because I had to pay for them out of pocket, because at the time I was uninsured as I am now. I have been on my job but they have slacked on providing me with my paperwork to recieve my benefits(insurance) so like then, now I am forced to deal with the pain day to day which is why I take the tylenol. I cannot recieve medicaid or medicare, because I am too old/young. I will have to wither pay for insurance for the time being (if I do quit) or become insured under my boyfriend.

Question About First Violation of Probation in Tennessee!?
Question by Justin: Question about first violation of probation in Tennessee!?
Ok my brother lives in Tennessee. He’s on probation for a dui he got a few years ago. He saw his probation officer and paid the fines every month. His place of work moved to Kentucky so he had to go as well. My mom still drove up there every month to bring him back to take him to his probation officer. After a few months they laied him off. He didn’t have money to pay his proby officer and my mom couldn’t afford to go get him every month to take him. He stayed in Kentucky for 2 years and he finally decided to come back and turn himself in. He did so and bailed out and got a new job and turned his life around. He’s now doing great clean from drugs and alcohol and working hard. He’s even going to a treatment center every week for drugs and alcohol. When he went to court the judge gave him 30 days in jail for his first violation of probation. So he told the judge he wants a public defender. The public defender said he wont have to go to jail for that long because its his first violation of probation, he turned himself in, and he’s in treatment for drugs and alcohol. So my question is does anyone have any idea of how much time he’s looking at? Maybe someone has been in the same situation or a similar one and has an idea of what he may receive wether jail time or fines and or community service? Thanks in advance.

Best answer:

Try your local central offices of either AA, NA, or CA. They should know about the various transitional living places, or at least point you in the right direction.
Alternatively, try the local hospitals mental health wards. Many patients begin their recoveries there. Remember, one day at a time.

Where Can I Look Up Drug Rehab Programs in Virginia?
Question by capoeirakid: Where can I look up drug rehab programs in Virginia?
Okay, so my mom and her friend are starting a lfe coaching business. I’m going to help them by finding programs such as rehabs, support groups, charities, etc. for their clients. Right now, I’m helping them look for a rehab for this one kid who we think might potentially become a client and he’s addicted to marijuana. He’s looking for a rehab program that can help him. In order for the place to be able to help him, the place needs to be something like this:
1. He’s 17, so it needs to be a rehab for kids or kids and adults.
2. He has a felony charge and they’re appealing the charge, but they can’t do anything more about that until a few months from now, so it needs to accept kids with felony charges.
3. Preferably, it should be a live-in rehab.
4. A place with a lot of rules and structure would be best for this kid.
5. It would be best if the rehab is in or near Northern Virginia.
All of this is based on info my mom gave me about the kid. Don’t worry, I don’t know his name or anything like that. I was hoping that there’s a website or something where I can look up rehab programs by key words or something like that. Also, if you know of a rehab that will be good for him, please tell me. Thanks!
To buds: Do you know if Crosby Centers has a location in/near NoVa?
Does Crosby Centers accept people with felony charges?
Does Crosby Centers accept kids?
I looked for this info on the website, but I couldn’t find it.
Thanks!
