What Do You Think About the New EBT Reform in Massachusetts?

Question by : What do you think about the new EBT Reform in Massachusetts?
Currently in MA you can use your EBT card at any store for whatever your heart desires. I tattoo for a living and currently if I wanted to I could take EBT cards as a form of payment (Not that i have or ever would) but people attempt this daily.

They would limit the amount of stores that would accept EBT cards- “nail salons, tattoo parlors, firearms dealers, bars, smoke shops or spas”

They would require Picture ID to stop the wide spread abuse of selling your EBT cards for drugs.

They would stop the abuse of taking out money from an ATM with these cards- “The report by the Electronic Benefit Transfer Card Commission, which was established by the Legislature, found that 85 percent of EBT benefits were withdrawn in cash between October and December last year.”

And liberals/Democrats. Wouldn’t you be in favor of this reform since now poor people who ACTUALLY NEED the EBT cards will now be able to get them. It’s great!!
Eggplant- I will say i am the exception, although there are a ton of other honest tattoo shops around. In the business of tattoos there is always opportunities for shadiness, money is money, but i take pride in my work. We charge $ 130-150 an hour and someone on EBT shouldn’t have that luxury. I actually Co-own the shop and we’ve made it clear no one accepts EBT from our shop. I would say it’s offered to us in form of payment 5+ times a day, it’s absurd.
American pride- Punished in what way? They receive necessities via EBT cards, if it’s not a necessity they have no business buying it. EBT was supposed to be used for food not tattoos and getting nails done.
